Balancing Commercial Function with Sculptural Identity
Boutique hotels must balance high guest comfort with memorable civic presence. At 7 Rays, the exterior portal frames do double duty: they shield interior glazing from harsh direct sunlight during peak hours, and at dusk, they glow with warm reflected light from the setting sun.
By integrating commercial retail on the ground level and elevating the swimming pool to the rooftop terrace, we preserved the privacy of the guest suites while animating the urban street edge.
